Anonymous: Do you love me?

Do you love me?

DO YOU LOVE ME?

The questions in my mind like a memory I can’t erase

Terrified of your answer I cower I fear

I begin to speak but my throat is empty

I start choking like a rapper but there ain’t no vomit on my shirt only tears and shame

I search in my mind looking for the words

But there is no fucking words

That can describe this pain

The pain of feeling like an outcast

In your own family

I uttered a simple phrase

So simple yet it made me so afraid

A phrase I knew you would hate

“Dad I like boys”

Four words that was all it took

Four god Damm words

As the words left my mouth I shivered

I pinched my arm hoping it was all a bad dream

and so I ask do you love me?
