I am so fortunate to experience this amazing movie on the big screen. Director John M. Chu did a phenomenal job of making the movie accurate to the musical. Noticeably, every prop, set, costume, makeup, and hair was meticulously thought out and greatly executed down to the freckles on Elphie's cheeks. My favorite costume was Elphaba’s (Cynthia Erivo) final costume. It looked amazing and the work put into the wig of micro braids is shocking. Similarly, my favorite character is Elphaba and I confess I almost hated Galinda for a lot of the movie, although I appreciate the character development. My favorite scenes are "Defying Gravity" and "Popular" for the importance they held and the deeper understanding of their friendship.
